About Us

 

Bridget E. Burdick, DVM

Dr. Bridget Burdick is a 2007 graduate of The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She also earned her undergraduate degree in Zoology from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Burdick has worked at GVVH since 2001 while completing her undergraduate degree and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She is married and has 2 pets. A cat named Reese and a Bull Mastiff named Rocco. She has a strong interest in veterinary dentistry and enjoys traveling, reading and any outdoor activities.


Dr. Burdick looks forward to meeting you and your pets!

 

Devon Horne, DVM

Dr. Devon Horne is a 2005 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Dayton in 2000.

Dr. Horne lives with her husband and 3 dogs, Libby, Hank and Lola. She has a strong interest in both soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. In her free time, Dr. Horne enjoys traveling, cooking and watching sports.

She is excited to get to know the patients and clients of the German Village Veterinary Hospital.

Leah

Leah has worked at GVVH since 2003 as a veterinary assistant and is now the office manager. She graduated from the Ohio State University in 2006 with a degree in Zoology.

Leah is married and has 2 dogs (Krenzel and Karamel) and 2 cats (Eesha and Doodles). In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and loves watching college football, especially the Buckeyes. Her favorite thing about working at GVVH is forming relationships with clients and patients.

Ty
Ty

Ty is a Registered Veterinary Technician and earned his Associate of Applied Science degree in 2007. He has worked at GVVH since May 2009 and has worked in the animal field around central Ohio since 2003.

Ty and his wife have two dogs, and one rat that are all spoiled rotten! He also enjoys reading, watching movies, and performing magic. Ty loves his career choice and likes helping pets and their owners.

Rachel
Rachel

Rachel is currently working as a veterinary assistant. She has worked at GVVH since November 2009. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Animal Science and Technology, and she is currently pursuing her Masters in Veterinary Public Health at OSU.

Rachel is new to Ohio, but loves the Columbus area and OSU. She has a cat named Scarlet and a dog named Ellie. Rachel has a passion for veterinary medicine, and she hopes to work as a public health veterinarian in the (not too far) future.

Jessica

Jessica is one of our receptionists/vet assistants. She has worked at GVVH since March 2010. She is currently attending the Ohio State University for her undergraduate degree. She is majoring in Zoology and minoring in Animal Sciences. Her ultimate goal is to attend veterinary school.

Jessica has 2 cats (Layla and Rocky). She recently moved to Columbus and enjoys exploring the city in her free time. She also enjoys playing the guitar, saxophone and piano; as well as, reading and being outdoors.

Carissa

Carissa is one of our veterinary assistants. She has worked at GVVH since April 2010. She graduated with a BS in Biology and a minor in Animal Nutrition in 2011. She plans to apply to veterinary school in the near future. She lives with her cat Thomas and her newly adopted dog Tavis, who are quite the pair together!

Carissa has really enjoyed learning about small animal medicine and the opportunity to meet the clients and their pets.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling, horseback riding and watching football (Go Bucks!).

Allison

Allison joined our hospital July 2011 as a veterinary receptionist/assistant. She is currently attending the Ohio State University for her undergraduate degree. She is majoring in Animal Science and minoring in Life Science. She also plans to attend veterinary school.

Allison has 2 dogs (Ruby and Opal) and 2 cats (Kit Kat and Snickers). In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her fiance, friends and family. She also loves spending time outdoors, reading and shopping!

Michelle

 

Michelle joined our hospital July 2011 as our full time veterinary receptionist. She brings over 10 years of Customer Service experience as well as prior work in a veterinary hospital also as a receptionist. 

Michelle lives with her 10 year old Border Collie mix as well as a 10 year old Pug. She enjoys taking her dogs for walks, cooking/baking, hiking, traveling, going to concerts (especially U2), movies, hockey, reading, studying Irish history and playing video games. She recently moved to Columbus from her hometown of Dayton, OH and frequently travels back to visit family and friends.                         

Jill

Jill is a Registered Veterinary Technician and earned her Associates of Applied Science Degree in 2010. She has been a part of our staff since September 2011 and greatly enjoys working in the animal field.

Jill has 2 dogs named Fizgig and Ruger. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as, hosting badly made movie nights.
