Dr. Morgan Smith

For the past 12 years, I have dedicated my life to the pursuit of helping animals. My interest in medicine and animals started when I was at Ohio University studying Wildlife Biology and working in the medical school anatomy lab. From there, I spent time integrating my love of medicine and desire to help animals, ultimately cultivating a career in veterinary medicine. I am grateful to have my dream job and I am honored by the trust placed in me by not only my patients, but their families as well.

My absolutely favorite part about my job is developing strong bonds with my patients and clients and using a team approach to decide the best course of action for your pet. My professional interests include dentistry and emergency medicine, and I love learning about new treatments and medicines for my patients. I am RECOVER certified in life support by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. I am an active member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association and American Veterinary Medical Association.

When I am not in the clinic, I enjoy being outdoors, knitting, and watching trashy reality television. My husband and I share our Olde Towne East home with a tarantula, cornsnake, two cats, and a Great Pyrenees. I completed my veterinary degree at The Ohio State University, and worked in Lancaster, OH and Westerville, OH before starting as the Medical Director at German Village Veterinary Hospital.

German Village Veterinary Hospital is an incredible hospital filled with people who are passionate about treating your pets with kindness, respect, and compassion. We thank you for trusting us with your loved ones.
